Volunteers reflected on the question to which this was the answer at the Annual Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Dinner. In 2012, more than 10,000 volunteer hours were given for reasons like:

• To help someone have a stable place to call home
• To help give kids a great place to come home to.
• To be able to give back to the community with the skills and abilities God has given me.
• To enable me to get involved in my city.
