Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity Appoints Kristin Freehill as Chief Executive Officer
Muncie, Indiana — Kristin Freehill has been selected by Muncie Habitat’s Board of Directors to serve as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer following four months of serving as Interim CEO.
Since stepping into the interim role, Kristin has demonstrated the leadership, vision, and commitment needed to guide Muncie Habitat into its next chapter. During this time, she has helped stabilize operations, inspire and support the organization’s team, and lead the development of a strategic plan that will shape the organization’s work over the next three years. She has also participated in Executive Coaching through Intentional Coaching + Consulting with the support of the Community Foundation and the Ball Brothers Foundation, which has provided valuable development throughout the interim period and further prepared her for the responsibilities of a permanent CEO role. Her leadership during this transition, combined with her continued investment in her own professional development, has affirmed to the Board that she is the right person to lead Muncie Habitat for Humanity going forward.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and has over seven years of experience with Muncie Habitat. Prior to becoming Interim CEO, she served as Director of Community Engagement, where she helped lead neighborhood revitalization efforts, major fundraising events, strategic planning initiatives, and the organization’s robust volunteer program.
Throughout her tenure, Kristin has built strong relationships across the organization and community while consistently demonstrating a commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact. Her experience across engagement, fundraising, strategic planning, community development, and organizational leadership provides a strong foundation for her new role as CEO.
Kristin’s passion for Habitat’s mission and her proven ability to bring people together around a shared vision position her well to lead the organization through its next chapter of growth and impact.
