Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about volunteering at the Restore.

  1. What is the ReStore?
    Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is a division of Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity, Inc. The ReStore accepts donations of new or nearly new building supplies, furniture and tools from individuals, contractors and businesses. These materials will be sold at the ReStore and the proceeds are used by Habitat to build more Habitat homes.
  2. What types of volunteer opportunities does the ReStore offer?
    Volunteer opportunities range from stocking shelves, pricing, organizing, staging, and helping with donation pickups to more retail oriented duties such as customer service, loading purchases, learning about retail and having fun interacting with Habitat Partner families and customers at the ReStore! 
  3. When are volunteers needed?
    Tuesdays from 9am-2pm and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9am-4pm.

  5. Can groups volunteer at the ReStore?
    Volunteer opportunities at the ReStore are ideal for individuals or small groups of 2-3. If you have a large group, we would encourage you to check out our Group Volunteer Opportunities page.
