October 3, 2014 – Muncie, IN – Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity has formed a team of 10 local people who will take part in a Global Village Trip with Habitat for Humanity to Asuncion, Paraguay. The group will leave October 4th and return October 13th.

Team Leader Marty Kendrick will be joined by Shannon & Jena Ashby, Del & Jayne Brinson, Eric & Lisa Horst, Stan Keil, Carol Pyle, and Al Smith on this journey to South America. This group will have an opportunity to contribute to Habitat’s work and create positive change in the world. They will learn about poverty housing, development challenges, and Habitat’s mission to eradicate them. The trip will allow them to experience the community’s culture, language, and social practices while working alongside homeowners and volunteers.

The team is looking forward to being a part of the larger global Habitat for Humanity ministry. They will partner with Habitat Paraguay and work on two homes in Asuncion. Two years ago, a team participated in a Global Village Trip to Cochabamba, Bolivia.
