Muncie Habitat for Humanity is kicking off its first-ever building campaign called ‘A Home for Habitat.’
For the past 25 years, Habitat’s staff and volunteers have operated efficiently and frugally out of our “Habitat Office Home” at 1923 South Hoyt Avenue. Ironically, while our mission is centered on home – providing homes and improving homes – we find our organization in a place where our own home is no longer adequate for the current and future needs of Habitat.
Fortunately for us, a perfectly suited space is available, just four blocks north of our current Habitat Office Home. We will be able to remain in our same neighborhood—staying close to the families we serve.
Purchasing and renovating the structure at 1420 South Hoyt Avenue will allow us to take the next strategic step for our organization. It is critical for the growth, efficiency, effectiveness, and future of this organization.
Thanks to local foundations, businesses, and supporters, we have already successfully raised $781,000 to ensure the continuation and growth of Muncie Habitat! We recently awarded a bid from a local contactor. Therefore, the new building remodel, including the purchase of the building, will total $900,000.
If you would like to discuss any further details, please reach out to Lindsey or one of the campaign chairs. For more information, or to make your gift now, please visit https://munciehabitat.org/a-home-for-habitat/.
Thank you for being a part of this critical and exciting time at Muncie Habitat for Humanity!
