First Merchants bank raised over $20,000 towards CC’s home!

This September and October, more than 140 women – and a few men –  from across Delaware County came together to fundraise and build safe and affordable housing during Muncie Habitat for Humanity’s 2022 Women Build. The event, which has been held for over ten years, raised almost $50,000. 

The event empowers women to help families build strength, stability, and independence.

Each Women Build team is encouraged to raise $2,500, or $250 per builder. The funds help buy materials for the same home they help build.

At the Volunteer Banquet we celebrated our top Women Build fundraisers with donated prizes, thanks to our sponsors!

Our 2^nd through 4^th place top individual fundraisers will receive a $50 University Dermatology Gift Card and a metal art print from Kishel Photography

• 4^th Place – raising $2535.00 is Sharon Kuzma from Team Zumba
• 3^rd Place – raising $2625.00 is Dixie Mullins from Team First Merchants
• 2^nd Place – raising $2725.00 is Sarah McKenzie from Team First Merchants
• 1^st place – $250 gift card to the Gilman Home Center and a metal art print from Kishel Photography
  • Raising $3,399.62, our top fundraiser for 2022 is Jill Haron.

In addition to recognizing the builders who raised the most money, this year we are also celebrating those who had the most community engagement!

• Our top community engagement fundraiser is the builder that had the most gifts overall. Jill Haron won this category with 34 donations total!
• The team that earned the most donations won an Elm Street Brewery happy hour. With 54 Total Donations, our top community engagement team is Team MEIAR 1!
• The team that raised the most money for C.C.’s home overall will win the Women Build traveling trophy and a swag bag for each member of their team!
