We would like to take a second to put the spotlight on one of our many great partner families. 

Maggie and her son Maddox are a blessing to Muncie Habitat, and our community. In early October, after months of building sweat equity hours, taking education courses and saving up for a down payment, Maggie walked through the doors of her HOME. 

Each Habitat family is tasked with meeting certain requirements for education and volunteer hours before their home dedication, but some go above and beyond. Maggie is always the person that does more than what is expected of her; filling in for other partner families when they can’t join us at the build sites, personally thanking every volunteer that worked on her home and far surpassing her initial service hours goal to name a few examples. 

This home is unique because it was donated to Muncie Habitat. The owners wished to see their family home filled with love and laughter once again by a young family. Generous donors that provided vital funds, and volunteers, who tirelessly worked with strict Covid-19 precautions, rebuilt this house into a stable, safe home and beacon of hope in the community. We are also very thankful for Halstead Intl. Flooring, for their generous hardwood flooring donation that was used throughout the home.

Congratulations, Maggie and Maddox!! May your home be a forever place of security, happiness, and love.
