Dear Habitat for Humanity ReStore shopper,

I am writing to provide an update about the measures Greater Muncie, Indiana Habitat for Humanity is taking to protect our staff, volunteers and the people we serve during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

These measures are based on guidance from Habitat for Humanity International and local, state and national public health authorities. We are continually monitoring the situation, and our approach may change as new guidance is provided. Given the current circumstances in our area, our ReStore will remain open, however, we will modify our pick-up service during this time. Donors can drop off items, as usual, from 9a.m. to 4pm Tuesday through Saturday. In addition, our restrooms will no longer to available to the public.

While we continue to move forward, we do ask that if you are experiencing ‘cold symptoms’ or have traveled recently to one of the areas designated by the CDC as level 3, or on a cruise ship, you refrain from visiting Habitat ReStore. Similarly, if a member of your household has potentially been exposed to the virus through travel or other means, seek medical guidance and refrain from participating in shopping in our ReStore.

Disinfecting wipes, social distancing of up to 6 feet are recommenced while visiting Habitat Restore. Customers may be asked to bag their own items when checking out.

Please know that we are constantly monitoring the situation and will update our plans as new details emerge. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this public health crisis together.

In partnership,
Lindsey Arthur
Chief Executive Officer
